We had a time-sensitive research project with Naval Research Lab (NRL) to develop an underwater temperature sensor instrument. We found that the vendor-provided data acquisition for a high-speed optical spectrometer, a critical device in the system, was unstable and lacked the functions of real-time data storage and wireless transmission. With his expertise in data acquisition and LabVIEW programing, Dustin provided us with a cost-effective, complete solution within just a few weeks. With his help, the instrument was successfully delivered to NRL and tested in the Pacific Ocean through a joint project between NRL and NATO. Our success in this project also led to another new project with NRL and we will continue to rely on Dustin's expertise in solving many engineering problems in sensor instrumentation.
